We couldn't be prouder!!! We wanted to have it at the bowery since this was his Eagle Project. Kyle and Parker Lewis, of the 8th Ward, each were in charge of putting together nine tables for the bowery of our brand new Stake Center. It was a beautiful day, the weather was perfect.
I am so thankful for good Scout Leaders and his good friend, our neighbor, Colton Jensen, his best friend. They have worked together on every merit badge , and every campout, and played football together. Good Friends make all the difference.
Bishop Dave Fox, gave us the meaning and retirement of the Flag. We all learned a whole lot and he did an awesome job. Kyle's first Scoutmaster, Beau Lewis gave the meaning of the Eagle.
Beau's twin brother, Bobby Lewis, our Stake Young Men President Gave the Eagle Charge.
Grandpa Reed Haddock Presented the Eagle Pin to Kyle. Grandpa has been involved in Scouts for as long as I can remember. Kyle presented the mentor pin to Grandpa for being a great example to Kyle of Hard Work and Dedication. I think Kyle started working alongside Grandpa ever since he was three years old. I remember looking out the window and grandpa would be leaning on his shovel, and Kyle would be doing whatever grandpa would be doing.
I hope Kyle will remember this day and Always GIVE BACK TO SCOUTING MORE THAN SCOUTING HAS GIVEN HIM. Brother Lynn Martineau, conducted everything and at the end he gave kyle a quarter with an eagle on the back. He told him to hold on to that quarter until he has GIVEN BACK TO SCOUTING MORE THAN SCOUTING GAVE TO HIM.

This is Kyle's latest mishap with a baseball. He was at practice up batting and they had the second fastest pitcher on the mound. Kyle says he never saw the ball coming and it hit him in the eye. Hes eye got even blacker then in this picture but it is much better now. He was lucky it did not break anything we had a bishop that got hit in the same place years ago and had to have reconstructive surgery so we are glad Kyle's was not that bad. Kyle is only the manager on the team he was not able to make the team during tryouts but he enjoys going and practicing with the team. They let him hit and play in the outfield just as if he was a player. I think he enjoys doing that very much. It keeps him busy and out of trouble so that is good.

My first senior moment

This week my neighbor came home from her cruise. She came home and said "Did you get the mail?" and I said You forgot to give me the key. She said yes I did you put it on your keychain and sure enough I looked at my keychain and guess what I found??? THE MAIL KEY!!! We had gone out to lunch and she gave me the key and I put it on my key chain so I wouldn't lose it. everyone agreed that was a good place for the keys. Well maybe to good of a hiding place for me. I experienced a full day of service. I just feel so good!!!! starting at 9:00 a.m. I went to a dear friends house to be with her and help her with her sick dying husband. We cleaned, fix meals and just offered compassion. Her husband died by noon. then I took my neighbor to her Doctor by 2PM and we then went to the store and bought food for my dear friends family and brought them food. we finished the day, cleaning her fridge and finishing her laundry and offering more compassion.

It has truelly made me feel closer to my savior and so thankful to be a part of the relief society, where we can all work together to give relief to our neighbors and friends.

Drivers Ed

This morning at 6:30 a.m. Kyle started Drivers Ed!!! EEEEK!!! another teen driver in the family. I get banned from the car because I get to nervous watching them learn how to drive. especially since two weeks ago when I dropped Kyle off at the church and headed back home to pick up the rest, I almost got hit by one of kyles friends coming to church. SO what I learned is two things teen drivers need to practice the most is: 1. judging distance on when to slow down and 2. turning corners and staying in your lane.
So Today is the start of a new adventure in our lives, hopefully we can survive it. Well I thought I could at least update a little about our boring life!!!
First, We are in a new stake in tremonton!! they realigned boundaries in our ward and took away people who live to the north of us, and gave us new people to the west of us. which created a brand new stake. Our ward got a new bishopric, and Martin was lucky enough to get put back in to the same calling he had before, which is Ward financial clerk, which he LOVES! Me I went from Relief Society Pianist to Primary Secretary. This is a whole new experience for me and I think I am beginning to like it.

Krystal is back at Snow getting her real education in life, Learning how to live one her own. She loves it and is doing good. I am so proud of her for making good choices. She loves to go weekly to the Manti Temple to do baptisms.

Kim is a senior in High school!!! She is taking a bridgerland college course in culinary arts. She loves to help me and learn how to cook.

Kyle is doing FOOTBALL GROWING, FOOTBALL, AND GROWING. He is now the tallest in our family. He has finally found a Eagle Project but has to wait till the church has the property of our new church building. He decided to plan and organize putting together picnic tables for our new church bowery.

That is our boring life for right now!!!

Cazier Reunion 2010

This year Martin's brothers and sisters got together in Star Valley, Wyoming to celebrate their dad's birthday. He turned 87 years old. We had lots of good food, fun and family togetherness.
The weather is so nice there. Today now that it is over I was thinking I should have done awards for all the hard work everyone did. but I am always a "too late thinker". So I will just have to send them in the mail. So this is my crazy thinking;
1. Mom and Dad AND Chad and Kim get the Hospitality award for letting us invade your territory.
2. Treisa,Ian and Ryan get the traveler award for coming the farthest. clear from Georgia.
3. Randy, Shari and Tim get the" workaholic award" always busy, busy busy doing something.
doing the tin on the buildings, cooking the food, and even hauling hay. Never idle
4 Melander clan get the "Entertainment award" always entertaining us with something.(leg wrestling, chicken song, and ultimate frisbee) and much laughing!!Except for martins little dance on top of the ladder that we all missed.
Martin cazier family I don't know what award we get that is a hard one
We had a great time and hopefully we can continue the tradition. Thanks to everyone

Martins 45th Birthday

HAPPY 45TH BIRTHDAY MARTIN!!!!!!!!!
How lucky can one be to celebrate your birthday with America!! Martin took the day off work and we just did nothing all day. Kim made his cake and Kyle mowed the lawn. When you have a 14 year old boy in the house you are lucky enough to never have to mow the lawn. Kyle thinks it is FUN to mow the lawn especially now that grandpa taught him how to run the riding lawn mower. Martin , Kyle and kyle's friend and his dad went shooting clay pigeons. I made martin's favorite for dinner, Enchilada's and corn.
Top Ten things about Martin
1. He always works hard for us.
2. He is so smart on the computer.
3. He has much patience with all of us.
4. He likes to make us laugh
5. He holds the priesthood in our home. That is such a blessing
6. always there to support each one of us in school and sports and activities.
7. dedicated to his church calling and is always there to help the Bishop.
8. Helps out around the house, learning to fix things.
9. He loves to take a nap and do puzzles
10. He is the best Husband and Father ever
Thanks for all of the fun times. now we will end the day by watching fireworks in Brigham.
The kids picked out presents for him and he got two shirts, shoes, corn nuts, tootsie pops, shoe cleaner, key chain to his new car, Dads root beer.

Sad Day

Today was a sad day at our house. We had to put Rudy down. It wasn't too bad because we were warned a year ago that he had a bad heart valve and probably wouldn't live too much longer. This morning we went outside when the kids got on the bus and then I went to go in the house and thinking Rudy was following me, I heard a yelp and turned around and Rudy was just laying down. He hardly even moved for two hours. It took all his strength to walk across the room. He just layed around all day until I mentioned playing teatherball and he did lift his head like he knew what I was talking about and he wanted to play but had no strength to move. So Martin came home and decided he didn't need to suffer any longer and took him to the vet.

We have had him for about 8 years and was such an easy dog to get along with. We think he may have had a heart attack or maybe some kind of stroke.

OUR MAY ACTIVITIES

The first picture is the flower cupcakes that Krystal and Kim decorated for Mothers Day. They are done with marshmellows. I thought they turned out cute!

The second picture are necklaces we made at our Mother/Daughter Pig-Nic for Relief Society.

They were easy and fun. We ate pigs in a blanket and the tables were decorated with pigs. And no we did not PIG OUT!!!

The third Picture is of Kim when she received her Medallion for Excellence Award. The teachers

nominate a student for the award and they read why they nominated the student for the award while the student stands in front of the group of parents. This is what Kims teacher said.

"Kim is a quiet, polite, young lady. I am so proud of her. She is very shy yet she works hard to

overcome it. She is willing to stand up and give presentations. She gives her best in all she does.

I look forward to seeing her each day. She is an excellent role model for others."

As a parent it feels good to know you can send your children to school and feel confident they will do the right things and Be Good in the publics eye. I am so grateful for kids that are good, especially for their teachers.

For 9th Grade football, Kyle had a Lift-A-Thon this month. He has been weight lifting at 5:30a.m. every morning. The Lift-A-Thon was for two days, after school. His results were.

Bench Press: 95 lbs

Squat: 140lbs

Power: 65lbs

Hang: 90lbs

for a total of 390 lbs

I guess that is pretty good for our tall, skinny soon to be 9th grader. Two A's and Two B's. and of course all H's in citizenship. She has got all H's or Honor in citizenship every year. She is just a good kid!

These pictures are her project she did in sewing class. She made an apron, hoodie and a car emergency kit. The last picture is kim's 17th birthday. She loves to decorate her own cake. Kim really loves to sew and cook, but she hates to drive the car!!! She is getting better though. She has started driving herself to Paino lessons. They came back with a lot of sore muscles.

Kyle just turned 14 so he could drive a snowmobile. He thought that was awesome. Kyle passed off his duty to god for a Deacon so a member of the Stake YM presidency takes them on a snowmobile trip as a reward. We ordained Kyle a Teacher today. I am so thankful for the church. It gives our kids many learning opportunities to learn and grow it is awesome.

Barbara gave me the opportunity to learn and grow also!! I actually drove Dad to the Salt Lake Airport and then we drove to primary childrens hospital to see Eliza, Jared's little girl. AND I SURVIVED!!! He played Wide Reciever the last two years and did very well. I also watched him in practice when he was on defense and he is one mean tackler. He can really take someone out when he wants to. Anyway they had a good season even if they did not make the tournament. They had 4 wins and 3 losses. They did not make the tournament by one win so I consider that a very good season. I hope Kyle continues to like football and trys out for 9th grade next year and shows the coaches just what he can do. There moto this year was Start Fast, Sustain and Finish Strong. I think they still finished Strong. Way to go Smiley.

Kyle got this nickname his first year in Football. When they were taking pictures the boys were suppose to look mean and Kyle went up there with a big smile on his face. so the Coaches nicknamed him smiley. Since then all of his friends in school has learned of this nickname and whenever they see him you can hear them say Hi Smiley.

Halloween Pumpkins

After we dug carrots, we came home and Kim was in the mood to paint, so the kids made these painted Halloween cans. Here is a picture of their class decorating a cake. They got an award, "To attack nesting rodents" . I think it looks like they had a great time, even if it rained during most of it. They did say it was really spiritual. They talked about Temples, Seminary, and virtue. Krystal actually was on the planning committee and had some good experiences. The theme song was I will not be still. The camp motto was Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other gold.

Krystal's Graduation

Here is our graduate of 2009. Yeah! We are proud parents. Her class had 312 that graduated and 9 valedictorians. We were in the spectrum at USU, so cool. We were up there on such a beautiful campus and her crazy friends wanted to take pictures at Willow park. So sorry the last one is dark but the girls got lost in Logan and couldn't find willow park. Yes they did just graduate but now they got to learn to find their way around not only town but the world. This will be a new adventure for them. The picture of the mountain is The BR that some Seniors went and changed it to 09 and lit it up last night.

Seminary Graduation

Tonight was Krystal's seminary graduation!!
We just want to say how proud we are of her. I should have paid more attention to my mom. I have realized how much work goes into a quilt and I am more appreciative of the quilts I have and will cherish them forever.

The first quilt is our Spring Break project! We went to Morgan and Karen helped us and we learned how to machine quilt. We got the whole thing quilted in one day. It was actually a lot of fun. Krystal did most of it. Kim and kyle tried it for a minute or two. Thanks to Karen, we had a lot of fun and krystal will have a nice quilt to take to college in the fall.

The second quilt is one that Dad quilted last winter 2008. I wanted to try to learn to bind it so I had a friend help me. Hand stitching took me forever. It really makes a nice quilt for our bed. I will never take any quilt for granted and I will always appreciate the time, effort and LOVE that goes into each one.

Top 10 facts about Kim
1. It was a close game and in the beginning it looked like it could go either way but in the last 2 minutes of the game Bear River just took control and came out with the win. We are proud of our Bears. And this is another thing for Krystal to be able to remember that happened her senior year. It is sad that we only made it to one game and that was when they played Morgan and we sat on the Morgan side with Daron and Karen.

I finally finished this afaghan. He is always happy! This year in football he adopted the nickname SMILEY KYLIE!

2. He is a hard worker. Who else would go shovel five driveways on their birthday.

3. He loves to tease his dad and Rudy.

4. He loves doing scouts and is doing a super job. He is now a Star Rank.

5. He loves to stay busy. He learned this from grandpa Haddock. When he was little he would follow him around the garden all day long.

6. He takes after Grandpa in that he has no brothers, just sisters and endures it well.

7. He has learned to play football, baseball, basketball, and soccer. This is listed is order of best to least.

8. He loves the computer and video games.

9. He is still patiently waiting for a playstation, X box, or a WII. Thank goodness the neighbors will share theirs.

10. He is growing a lot spiritually this year as a Deacon, He is still a little shy but is coming out of his shell more and more.

Kyle spent the day in school, Kyle wanted a Skateboard cake so had to get creative and attempt to make one. Thanks to Family Fun I was able to figure it out. I guess it turned out pretty good. The weather has been very, very snowy today. Kyle got clothes and stuff to go to the klondyke this weekend, and a air Hockey game. Sorry no WII yet.

Tag Photo

I am not very good at this but I guess this is the 4th picture of the 4th folder. This is Kyle last year 2008 at the 6th grade worlds fair. It is a big thing the school does. Kyle did his report on Peru since his coisen Holden was there on a mission. That is where he got his cute hat. We also borrowed some things from Grandpa that he got from Brian Haddock when he went on his mission. It is a lot of funfor the kids and they learn a lot about the country. The other kid in the photo is kyle's friend, Baylor He is in our ward.

This picture was actually taken last June when we went to Idaho Falls for Martin's brothers sealing. I just thought it was cool how it looks like christ is patting them on the back. It's like he is saying "I am so proud of you"
I was thinking that I am so proud of my children also. They are good children and always try to choose the right. Krystal recieved her young womanhood recognition in July of 2007, Kim recieved hers in Nov 2008, and I received mine as a leader in sept 2008. Kyle has really grown this last year also as a deacon and accomplishing many merit badges. So for the year 2009 I have to say I am a proud mama of my children. I just hope and pray they will continue to be Good.

Martin's Accident

For those of you are who are not aware. Martin was in an Auto accident on I-15 back on Dec. 9th. A Union Pacific truck lost its two left tires and one of them stayed in the middle of the road. Martin came out from behind a Semi to merge into the right lane. He did not see the tire in the road possibly because he was making sure it was clear as he was changing lanes. The tire was hit at a high rate of speed which caused the air bags to go off and damage to the left side of the car. Thankfully Martin was not injured. It could have been worse we are glad that it was not. Looking at the pictures it does not look that bad but it broke the font axle in half. We are glad that he was not seriously injured.

Family Projects

We are a little behind in getting this information out to all of you. But this summer and fall we had several home improvement projects we were doing. The first one is our bathroom. We needed to replace the Tub so we had grandpa come and help us. A project that we thought would only take a few hours took two days. It was quite a project Ask grandpa when you get the chance we were quite frustrated with it by the time we finished. Anyway I thougth I had pictures of the tub before I tiled but all I could find is the finished product so I hope that will do. It was nice to see something accomplished even if it took me a month or more to finish.

The other project we did is paint the outside of our house. It needed to be done and it was a fun family project everyone pitched in and made a long project move quickly. All of these photos are attatched. It would not let me put all of the pictures in the way I wanted so I added them to the side.

New E-mail Address

We have finally decided to upgrade our internet. We now have High speed with a new E-mail Address. The phone company gave us a killer deal where we get phone service and DSL for what we were paying with dial up. Just could not pass it up. So for all of you who did not get our new e-mail address it is cazier@frontiernet.net. Hope it works for everyone and we get e-mails soon. Also with this new DSL we are going to try to post more on this Blog and get things rolling. It will be much easier now and we should also be able to get new pictures up instead of maybe one a month due to upload speed. So look for new and exciting things in the future.

It has been awhile

It has been awhile since we have posted anything.
