Grandpa's carrots

Last week end we went to grandpa's house and bottled some apples and dug some carrots! I thought I should take a picture of these huge carrots! Have you seen such big carrots? They must be fed with grandpa's tender loving care. That must be the trick!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

Here is a picture of my craft I made in Relief Society. It is so easy and inexpensive!!
They are so fast and easy to make and a cute decoration for the holidays. So I just wanted to wish everyone a happy 4th of July and Remember what it is really all about. I hope we can make it up to Paris for our annual tradition. They have the BEST little patriotic program ever! Oh and the parade afterwards is always a hit too with lots of candy.

Krystal and Kim went to Laurel Training Camp last week. Here is a picture of their class decorating a cake. They got an award, "To attack nesting rodents" . I think it looks like they had a great time, even if it rained during most of it. They did say it was really spiritual. They talked about Temples, Seminary, and virtue. Krystal actually was on the planning committee and had some good experiences. The theme song was I will not be still. The camp motto was Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other gold.

Krystal's Graduation

Here is our graduate of 2009. Yeah! We are proud parents. Her class had 312 that graduated and 9 valedictorians. We were in the spectrum at USU, so cool. We were up there on such a beautiful campus and her crazy friends wanted to take pictures at Willow park. So sorry the last one is dark but the girls got lost in Logan and couldn't find willow park. Yes they did just graduate but now they got to learn to find their way around not only town but the world. This will be a new adventure for them. The picture of the mountain is The BR that some Seniors went and changed it to 09 and lit it up last night.

Seminary Graduation

Tonight was Krystal's seminary graduation!!
We just want to say how proud we are of her. She has been such an example to us at reading her scriptures. She actually just finished memorizing the last scripture mastery today. I hope she will continue to read her scriptures everyday.
Our Stake president gave the graduates four words of advice. They are,
"Come to the Temple".
Brother Parkinson, told them to always be available to hear and feel the spirit always.
It was our first seminary graduation and it was awesome!

OUR SPRING BREAK PROJECT

I am not a very good at sewing, but I have been trying to learn how to make a quilt. I should have paid more attention to my mom. I have realized how much work goes into a quilt and I am more appreciative of the quilts I have and will cherish them forever.
The first quilt is our Spring Break project! We went to Morgan and Karen helped us and we learned how to machine quilt. We got the whole thing quilted in one day. It was actually a lot of fun. Krystal did most of it. Kim and kyle tried it for a minute or two. Thanks to Karen, we had a lot of fun and krystal will have a nice quilt to take to college in the fall.
The second quilt is one that Dad quilted last winter 2008. I wanted to try to learn to bind it so I had a friend help me. Hand stitching took me forever. It really makes a nice quilt for our bed. I will never take any quilt for granted and I will always appreciate the time, effort and LOVE that goes into each one.
