OUR SPRING BREAK PROJECT

I am not a very good at sewing, but I have been trying to learn how to make a quilt. I should have paid more attention to my mom. I have realized how much work goes into a quilt and I am more appreciative of the quilts I have and will cherish them forever.
The first quilt is our Spring Break project! We went to Morgan and Karen helped us and we learned how to machine quilt. We got the whole thing quilted in one day. It was actually a lot of fun. Krystal did most of it. Kim and kyle tried it for a minute or two. Thanks to Karen, we had a lot of fun and krystal will have a nice quilt to take to college in the fall.
The second quilt is one that Dad quilted last winter 2008. I wanted to try to learn to bind it so I had a friend help me. Hand stitching took me forever. It really makes a nice quilt for our bed. I will never take any quilt for granted and I will always appreciate the time, effort and LOVE that goes into each one.

Darling, Darling quilts! I must say I LOVE to quilt, but Blake already thinks we have too many. I don't think you can ever have too many!
I think we are all wishing we'd listened to Grandma a little bit more - quilting, sewing, gardening, canning, cooking, etc. She was a pro!
